Enjoyed my visit here! Smaller restaurant, good for more intimate meals. Wasn't too busy either. Located on a strip with other stores, so there is plenty of parking around. They have a small bar area and a few outdoor seating options. Plenty of options for non-meat eaters. Ran into a small issue with one of our orders but the staff quickly fixed it. They are very attentive and stay always within reach for water refills or any other needs during your meal. I tried the Chef's Signature Dal Makhani which was pretty good. I do wish it had a little more spice to it as well as additional protein to add more texture to the meal. Also, got some garlic naan for the table which can be shared with two people.

We made a reservation for dinner and we were glad we did. The place was pretty packed! I am glad the food did not disappoint. For appetizers, we had the Black salt assorted sampler. Everything on the sampler was really good. For our entrees, we had the cheese infused kofta, Dal Makhani and Chicken Tikka masala. All the entrees were very rich and flavorful ! The food was representative of North Indian cooking. For the breads, we tried the Rosemary Naan and the Black salt signature Katlama Naan. Both were cooked very well! For dessert, we had the Zafrani Kheer - it was delicious! We even tried the chocolate jamun mousse but preferred the Kheer. All the food was good. Looking forward to trying out more of their menu!

Another delightful lunch date in Chesterfield with my dashing, green-eyed sir. Our afternoons together are the stuff of dreams. This time, we ventured into the tantalizing world of Indian cuisine, a first for me. If you're new to Indian food, start here. Trust me, you won't regret it. We shared our dishes, as always, savoring every delicious moment. He loves my adventurous palate, and I adore his charming company. The food was spectacular, and the Black Salt Signature drink? It's an absolute highlight, though I'll ask for it less spicy next time. The fresh lime soda was to die for. Service was impeccable, with the staff ensuring every dining need was met. If you're spice-sensitive like me, start with the mild options. The chic and modern decor provided the perfect backdrop for our little culinary adventure. He turned our meal into a mini trip to India - the closest I'll get for now. Until next time, Sierra

After a long day takeout was in order. Black Salt had appeared in some of the STL foodie Instagram reels, so I was excited to try this out. Started with a kale, guava and avocado salad. It had so much flavor with sliced pear and onion. Next up was the tandoori murgh with rosemary naan. The chicken was so tender and the yogurt marinade with the spice was so good. The rosemary naan was fluffy and had the perfect amount of rosemary spice. If I lived in STL this would be in the weekly rotation.

I was surprised and thrilled to try their Thali plate. It seems that few Indian restaurants offer this these days. I liked most everything. Of course the problem is that the items you love are smaller than what the actual dish would be, but allows a nice sampling. The presentation was beautiful. My wife ordered a chicken dish and they were happy to accommodate gluten free requests. AND the staff were all incredibly kind and happy to do whatever they could for us. The food came out fast, was hot and delicious. Really good food and great staff and the prices for lunch were very good. Our only issue was, we drove past it and had to circle back as the sign was not easy to see from some directions. Definitely give them a try!

2nd time here, was equally pleased. Service was fantastically attentive. Manager checked on us as well. They were very concerned with our satisfaction. True sign of good management. It was fully booked after 6. Need reservations but we were ably to get an early booking (5pm) in same day. The portions are generous. We had two entrees and one app and had plenty of leftovers. We tried the Biryani - Chef Signature. Rice was perfectly cooked and had plenty of protein in it. Nice and flavorful. Also had the chicken tika masala once again, and still great! For an app, we had Samosa Chaat. EXCELLENT! What an explosion of flavors. May be my favorite thing on menu. Black Salt is a little gem hidden in a strip mall. The small restaurant is simple and elegantly decorated. Fresh, bright and cozy. Excited to hear they'll be opening a 2nd spot!

Black Salt is my new favorite Indian restaurant! Black Salt is located in Chesterfield and although it's a new restaurant, it already has a HUGE fan base for a good reason. It's seriously incredible! Every single dish is literally plate-licking good - so be sure to get their bread basket to sop up all the sauces! The vibe of the entire place is upscale but still very welcoming. They have an extensive menu but we took the server's recommendation and they were more than spot on. My favorite dishes were: Samosa Chaat Palak Chaat with Mango Black Miso Chicken Tikka Chicken Chettinad Chicken Tikka Masala Reservations are recommended as this place gets packed quickly. Be sure to follow their social media for details on their new location coming soon!!

If Chesterfield has become the Mecca of amazing Indian Food, Black Salt is the pinnacle of excellence. Robust menu featuring both the standards enjoyed by many Americans and some unique and amazing dishes not seeing anywhere in the area. The bar service, attentive and knowledgeable servers, nice design, reservations, and great food plating gives the dining experience an elevated experience. What we are: - Punjabi Samosas (3.75/5): Decent, fresh and hot. The tamarind and cilantro sauces were excellent! - Palak Chaat with Mango (4.5/5): GET THIS! Amazing flavors and very unique. A bit heavy, but the mangos and sauce added nice flavor profile. - Zafrani Lamb Chops (5/5): GET THIS!!! Perfectly executed dish. Nicer char flavor on lamb. Excellent sauce. Beautiful presentation. - Lahori Murgh (4.5/5): GET THIS! If you typically go for chicken tikka masala or butter chicken, give this a try! Similar dish, but better flavors! - Korma Lamb (4.25/5): Very tender lamb. Great sauce - Chicken Tikka Masala (4.25/5): well executed! - naan (4/5): excellent chew factor. Garlic was our favorite.
